This is a kit to sew a 5-piece set of Orthodox altar materials for the "Altar" church school lesson in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) curriculum. The set includes all of the materials to make a chalice cover and diskos cover, aer (larger cloth that covers the chalice and diskos), communion cloth, and simplified antimension, and comes in a high quality storage box with a magnetic closure. The covers are designed to fit the Orthodox chalice and diskos set sold by The CGS Store. The fabric comes with the patterns printed directly onto the fabric, so there is no fussing with measuring or making & using a paper pattern.
This kit includes:
- all of the fabric needed to make the five pieces
- gold trim and ribbon to complete the covers
- thread matched to the gold trim & red fabric (250 yds polyester all-purpose)
