All natural, properly hemmed burial shroud in the Orthodox Christian tradition. Beautifully illustrated by Kh. Megan York in California, sustainably printed by a Christian family in Pennsylvania, and carefully hemmed by Orthodox women in Texas. Fabric is a soft and lightweight cotton poplin, printed with organic ink, and sewn with cotton thread, so it is a 100% natural product and fully decomposable. The shroud measures 28” x 69” and is intended to be one-size-fits-all. Our shroud is slightly more colorful than some traditional shrouds, for which we carefully researched and asked for pastoral input, in hopes of providing an option that is both feminine and masculine at the same time. Our shroud also contains all of the typical iconographic and scriptural features for Orthodox Christian burial. The design includes maroon line drawings of the Resurrection, Crucifixion, and don’t of eternal life; red highlights, lettering, and seraphim; gold borders and grape/wheat motifs, and blue lettering of the funeral kontakion.
