Lady Lent is an old Greek tradition where you take away one foot on each of the six Sundays of Lent, and the last foot on Pascha. It is a simple way to track your progress through Lent with out needing additional resources.

This is a new take on the Lady Lent we have offered for several years. We have had an easy cut-out-and-glue version for several years, and now we are offering it as a hemmed cloth wall hanging with sturdy feet and snaps. The wall hanging is made of woven cotton fabric, fabric feet reinforced with stiff interfacing, and metal snaps to secure the feet to the bottom of Lady’s skirt. The fabric is easy to fold up to store and has a pocket to store the 7 feet. The wall hanging can be machine washed and dried, and a hot iron can be used to smooth wrinkles.

This Lady Lent was a collaborative project: artwork by Orthodox Pebbles, poem by Christina Romas Connant, and fabric and construction by St. Tabitha’s Workshop.
