Some little boys want to be priests when they grow up, so why not encourage their desire to do so? The child-sized phelonion is a one-size-fits-all, Byzantine-style outer vestment that will fit little boys from about 2-6 years old. The model in the photos is 4.5 years old. It's perfect for the little boy who can't wait to be an acolyte! The back of the vestment is 26” from neck to the bottom. This is a one-day project for a beginner, half-day project for an intermediate sewist, and only a couple hours for an experienced sewist. Detailed instructions are here.
Included: one yard of Cotton Poplin fabric with the phelonion pattern printed on it, so you’ll simply cut out the phelonion and follow the instructions to sew it up.
Not included: lining fabric, trim, Velcro, matching thread, sewing supplies.
